Inspired by 1920s-1940s French work pants.

Older trousers often had a high waist and a fishtail back, with no belt loops. Before belts became popular, both gentlemen's trousers and work pants used suspenders to stay up. They had an adjustable strap at the back to fit the waist and hips, known as a "Buckled Back". This timeless design has been around for over 100 years.
