Olderbest make fantastically good clothing. I’m so pleased to have found them. The tricky part is the delivery and I’ve had problems in the past. However because the clothes are so good it is a possible risk I am prepared to continue making.

Love the design and materials used.
The cut/design is comfortable. But there are some serious flaws: 1. The material is comfortable and breathable but it's durability is pretty bad or defective. They pile a lot and very quickly. The pictures show the amount of pilling after only 3 wears. This happened on both the olive and Kakhi colours. I expect better quality than this from Olderbest. 2. The pleats are essentially fake - they should be much deeper to be useful look better. 3. The pockets are way too shallow.

The material, comfort and fit of these shorts is outstanding. But there is one serious deficiency. The pockets are much too short, especially the front ones. If you put a bunch of keys or a phone in a front pocket it is likely to fall out. You will have to use a backpocket and button it up, which is secure but uncomfortable. This is so unnecessary! It would cost nothing to make the pockets the standard depth. Nor would it interfere with the structure of the shorts: they are well long enough. It just shows a very annoying carelessness on the part of the designers. There is something else you ought to know. You will not get in or out of these shorts in a hurry! It is necessary to unbuckle both sides of the built-in belt - and do it blindfold since the buckles are half way round your waist - on the way out. On the way in, you will have to feed one of the loops through a slot in the waist band, and then try and find the buckles. Presumably this is part of the original British Army design. So it would be wrong to deduct any stars for that. You have been warned! But once you have managed to get into the shorts - and so long as you can find a work-around for the pockets - you may well find them as comfortable and well made as I do.
